These guys really thought through the design of this unit! I worked at a bike shop for 3 yrs so I know bikes quite well. Assembly was a snap and the bike and stabilizer bar are high quality. We also own a separate Gator Bar that uses a 'kit' to connect to any child's bike but the ConnectCycles system is much nicer & feels safer. We like the Gator Bar too but you have to tighten the head tube kit incredibly tight or else the child can tip over (difficult to explain this but I've read other reviews saying the same thing). ConnectCycles must have recognized this flaw because they took what looks to be the same stabilizer bar and instead of using the clamp, they welded a fixture to the head tube of the child's bike - problem solved! The locking mechansim for the steering tube is fantastic too as it eliminates the need for the external bar that is used on the Gator. The only thing that was a minor challenge was trying to lock the child's bike in place when the handlebars are not pointed straight ahead. It took a few tries before I realized this but now that I know it, I won't make the same mistake again. CC should put in BOLD HEADLINES that the front wheel on the kid's bike needs to point straight forward or the pin will not engage. My 3 year old loves it and his 5 year old sister is jealous that her bike doesn't have flames on it. Nice job improving the already good Gator Bar!

The bike was a little challenging to put together (I am not mechanically inclined or experienced, and the instructions could have been a little clearer), but customer service was EXCEPTIONAL. Larry from Connect Cycles called me, unsolicited, to make sure everything was OK. When I called him back on a Sunday morning at 8am to ask a question, he returned my call almost immediately. Very helpful. I was ultimately able to put it together, and it seems to work well. Seems solidly built. Will update after we have a chance to use it a bit.

We had looked at a regular "tag-a-long" bicycle for some time before coming across this product. Instead of having a seperate bicycle and a "tag-a-long" in the garage, this product combines them both very nicely and it works great! My son rides the bike on his own with the training wheels down most of the time, and when it is time for the family to ride around the block (or further) flipping up the training wheels and hooking up to my bike is fast and easy. When we have been out riding, I get a lot of questions about the bike and how it works, each time with people saying the product is a great idea and looks good.
